Pace Updates Compliance Processes
In response to the October 6, 2016 EPA Region 10 notice regarding its settlement with Pace International, we wish to add clarity regarding the nature of the violation and potential misunderstandings the notice may cause.
Pace was not cited for violating its allowed emissions levels under its Non-Title V permit (issued December 2006). The referenced violation stems from a failure to provide the proper documentation for emissions calculation. Whereas Pace was calculating its emissions on a calendar year basis, EPA requires rolling 12-month calculations to be documented.
Following notice of the violation in March 2015, Pace opened its facility to a thorough inspection by EPA using its newest technology and has since updated its compliance policies and has taken steps to further reduce its allowable emissions.
Pace remains wholly committed to developing and manufacturing sustainable technologies for agriculture and furthering its already strong relations with the Yakama Nation and other stakeholders in the local and global community.
