Pace Newsroom

Pace History

Our story began in Kirkland, Washington. It was there, where Pace International took root to serve the needs of the agricultural community in 1953. Years later, Pace relocated its global headquarters to Wapato, Washington in the fertile Yakima Valley.

As business continued to grow, Pace decided to focus its efforts on the postharvest needs of the produce industry. In 2012, Pace was fully acquired by Valent Biosciences (VBC).

Today, Pace is a global leader in sustainable postharvest solutions in the pome, citrus, cherry, stone fruit and potato industries. Pace’s commitment to the postharvest industry includes R&D centers and laboratories as well as a new ecoFog® Technology Center located in Wapato, Washington. Pace has offices in the Americas and strategic partners globally.

Our Pace Family of Employees

Our nearly 150 employees globally care about our customers and the quality of service we provide them year-round. Our success would not be possible without our dedicated teams, and we are grateful to have each one as part of our Pace International family.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Community involvement has been part of Pace International since day one. Giving back to our local communities is our passion. We are thankful and proud of our success, but the most inspiring part for our Pace Family is sharing our success with our community.
